Ancient Cypress Press is a publishing house for writers of formal, metrical poetry.  Our aim is to create elegant books by contemporary poets whose work draws a thread from the great work of the past to the present.  Ancient Cypress is a cooperative press which seeks to create a community of poets who share similar ideas and methods, as well as their work, and who retain all copyright and control over their poetry.  Poets recently published in 2013 include  Michael R. Burch, Tom Merrill, and Mary Rae.  May 2013 brought the publication of Selected Translations, by Leo Yankevich, and Remind Me, a new collection by Juleigh Howard-Hobson.
